Public Works Department (PWD)

Arunachal Pradesh Public Works Department is the oldest Civil Engineering Department of the state. Headed by Chief Engineer, HOD at Zonal Level as Technical Head and Commissioner (PWD) as Administrative Head of the Department.

Key Functions of the Department:

APPWD is the main agency of Government of Arunachal Pradesh for development of infrastructure viz Roads, Bridges, Buildings and Maintenance of Assets Created thereof.

Organisation Structure & Contacts

The Chief Engineer as HOD at Zonal Level is the Technical Head of the Department, Zone is divided into Circles Headed by Superintending Engineer. Further, under Circle there are many divisions headed by Executive Engineers as HOO/DDO. Division is further divided by Sub-Divisions headed by Assistant Engineers and Sub-Divisions further divided into Sections headed by Junior Engineers at primary level.
